On September 21, 2024, at approximately 1:05 a.m., Duane Glenn, a 31-year-old resident of District Heights, Maryland, was fatally shot in the 400 block of Xenia Avenue in the unincorporated section of Capitol Heights. Prince George's County police officers responded to reports of gunfire and found Glenn outside suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
