On January 16, 2021, Curtis Lee Edwards Jr., a 28-year-old resident of Suitland, Maryland, was tragically killed in a shooting incident in Capitol Heights. The Prince George’s County Police Department responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 12:40 PM in the 5200 block of Marlboro Pike. Upon arrival, officers found Edwards inside a car, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
