On the evening of May 26, 2023, Prince George’s County Police officers responded to a call in the 4400 block of Telfair Boulevard in Suitland, Maryland. Upon arrival around 10:05 p.m., they discovered 23-year-old Bennie Aaron Maye Jr., a resident of Hyattsville, deceased inside an apartment. Authorities noted that Maye had suffered significant trauma, though the exact cause of death was pending confirmation from an autopsy.
