On July 8, 2023, at approximately 2:30 a.m., Baltimore Police responded to a quadruple shooting in the 500 block of East Eager Street. Among the victims was 29-year-old Shurlon Anselm Akiel Cooper, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Another victim, 21-year-old Albertini Elcock, also succumbed to his injuries, while two additional individuals sustained non-life-threatening wounds.
