In the late morning of a Tuesday in Baltimore, the life of Timothy Lamont Peaks was tragically cut short. On March 12, 2024, officers from the Baltimore Police Department were dispatched to the 1000 block of North Glover Street around 11:34 a.m. following a ShotSpotter alert. Upon their arrival, they discovered a 57-year-old Black male, later identified as Peaks, unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound.
Emergency medical personnel quickly transported him to a nearby hospital.
Despite the life-saving measures administered by medical staff, Timothy Peaks succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The gravity of his condition had already prompted the notification of Homicide detectives, who then took control of the investigation at the scene.
Affectionately known as “Lil Timmy,” Peaks was born in Baltimore on June 9, 1966. He was a beloved son, fiancé, father, and grandfather. He found his spiritual home at The Church Without Four Walls and was known for his infectious humor and radiant smile. He was active in his community, often ministering to and feeding the homeless on Ashland Avenue on Sundays. His death has left a significant void in the lives of his family and friends.
As of the latest reports, the investigation into the shooting death of Timothy Peaks is ongoing. The Baltimore Police Department has not publicly identified any suspects or made any arrests in connection with the case. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward and contact detectives or to leave an anonymous tip with Metro Crime Stoppers.
