In the quiet evening hours of March 23, 2024, a dispute in Adelphi, Maryland, tragically escalated, ending the life of 43-year-old Charles Dent of Hyattsville. Prince George's County Police were dispatched to the 1800 block of Metzerott Road around 6:45 p.m. following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Dent outside, suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the immediate response, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
