In the late hours of a Friday night in Langley Park, Maryland, a dispute turned deadly, claiming the life of 22-year-old Carlos Sanchez-Cabrera. The young man was found outside on 14th Avenue suffering from gunshot wounds and was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Prince George's County Police Department's Homicide Unit investigated the fatal shooting, which occurred on June 2, 2017.
Their investigation pointed to an ongoing dispute between Sanchez-Cabrera and two other men. Authorities identified 27-year-old Oscar Choc and 34-year-old Julio Murillo, both of New Hampshire Avenue, as the suspects in the killing.
Following the investigation, both Choc and Murillo were arrested and charged with the murder of Carlos Sanchez-Cabrera. The police offered a substantial reward for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case.
