On April 4, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in Hyattsville, Maryland, resulting in the death of 30-year-old Idongesit Udosen from Lanham. Udosen, a garbage collector, was shot and killed while on duty in the 6800 block of Greenvale Parkway around 3:40 p.m. When police arrived at the scene, they found Udosen lying in the roadway with multiple gunshot wounds.
