In the early morning hours of July 13, 2011, the body of 35-year-old Leeson Rick Samuels, a male resident of Adelphi, was discovered in a grassy area in unincorporated Hyattsville, Maryland. The events leading to this tragic discovery began a few hours earlier in Silver Spring. While walking to his 2007 tan Chevrolet Suburban, Samuels was kidnapped.
Following the abduction, Samuels was fatally shot. His assailants then abandoned his body in the 2300 block of 51st Place.
