On a Monday morning in late April, the sounds of gunfire shattered the peace in a Baltimore neighborhood. When police arrived at the 4700 block of Garrison Boulevard just before 11 a.m. on April 29, 2024, they found two people suffering from gunshot wounds. One of the victims was Anthony Pearson, a 42-year-old Black man, who was suffering from life-threatening injuries. A 36-year-old woman was also found at the scene with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
