On a Monday morning in late April, the sounds of gunfire shattered the peace in a Baltimore neighborhood. When police arrived at the 4700 block of Garrison Boulevard just before 11 a.m. on April 29, 2024, they found two people suffering from gunshot wounds. One of the victims was Anthony Pearson, a 42-year-old Black man, who was suffering from life-threatening injuries.
A 36-year-old woman was also found at the scene with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Both Pearson and the female victim were quickly transported to nearby hospitals for medical attention. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Anthony Pearson succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The female victim was treated for her injuries.
In the wake of the shooting, Northwest District detectives began an investigation into the incident. As of now, authorities have not publicly identified any suspects in the shooting death of Anthony Pearson, and no arrests have been announced. The investigation remains ongoing, and police have urged anyone with information to come forward and contact them or to leave an anonymous tip with Metro Crime Stoppers.
