The afternoon of October 13, 2017, unfolded like so many others in East Baltimore until violence broke the routine in the 900 block of North Eden Street. Police were called to the block just after 3:30 p.m., and when officers arrived they found Daryl A. Singleterry Jr., 43, a Black man, suffering from gunshot wounds.
