On January 6, 2015, Autumn Mae Steele, a 34-year-old woman from Burlington, Iowa, was fatally shot outside her home by Burlington Police Officer Jesse Hill. The incident occurred during a response to a domestic disturbance call at the Steele residence, located at 104 S. Garfield Avenue.
