On June 15, 2024, Christopher Mozee, a 33-year-old resident of District Heights, Maryland, was fatally shot during a charity football game at Potomac High School in Oxon Hill. The incident occurred around 11 a.m. when gunfire erupted amidst a dispute between Mozee and another individual, later identified as Dajuon Meniefield, a 29-year-old from Bowie.
