Shahid Omar Jr., a 24-year-old resident of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, tragically lost his life on July 12, 2024, in a shooting incident that occurred outside Dr. Henry A. Wise Jr. High School. The shooting took place around 10:05 pm in the school's parking lot, shortly after a vigil held for three former football players who had recently died in a car crash.
