On September 29, 2024, at approximately 11:17 p.m., Baltimore Police officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 1800 block of Wilhelm Street. Upon arrival, they discovered 43-year-old Melvin David Rogers suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical attention, Rogers was pronounced dead at the scene.
