On April 24, 2023, Amy Cathleen Theis, a 47-year-old woman from River Falls, Wisconsin, was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound. Police responded to a report of an unconscious person in the 500 block of Bandle Street shortly after midnight and discovered Theis unresponsive at the scene. Despite efforts to revive her, she was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
