On a Sunday afternoon in Milwaukee, the life of a 22-year-old Black / African American male named Ocean McCoy was tragically cut short. On March 3, 2024, at approximately 3:05 p.m., a fatal shooting occurred near the intersection of 38th and Garfield.
Following the incident, McCoy was transported to a local hospital for medical attention. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office later identified him as the victim of the shooting.
The Milwaukee Police Department has launched an investigation into the homicide. At this time, authorities are actively seeking information from the public to help identify the person or persons responsible for McCoy's death. No suspects have been publicly identified, and no arrests have been made in connection with the case.
