On June 3, 2024, 24-year-old Martel D. Winters was fatally shot near 15th and Congress on Milwaukee's north side. The incident occurred around 1:00 a.m., and Winters was pronounced dead at the scene.

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with Winters' death.
