In the late afternoon of June 15, 2024, a shooting at Sherman Park in Milwaukee claimed the life of 65-year-old Gary Grose. The incident, which occurred around 5:41 p.m. near the park's playground, also resulted in a second individual sustaining a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. First responders found Grose with gunshot wounds at the scene, and he was pronounced dead.
