On June 15, 2024, Gary Grose, a 65-year-old resident of Milwaukee, was shot and killed in a violent incident that occurred at Sherman Park. The shooting took place around 5:41 p.m., shortly after another shooting incident at a nearby park. Grose was found with gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
