On September 23, 2024, 17-year-old Javontae Davis was fatally shot in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. near the 1400 block of West Locust Street. According to police reports, Davis was in a vehicle involved in a "shots fired" incident when an unrelated 51-year-old man engaged with the vehicle and fired shots, striking Davis. The vehicle fled the scene but crashed near North 7th and West Locust Streets. Davis was pronounced dead at the scene.
