On February 8, 2023, at approximately 3:06 a.m., Oklahoma City police responded to reports of gunfire at the Green Carpet Inn, located near Interstate 40 and South MacArthur Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers discovered 42-year-old Kevin Antwain Wright critically wounded from gunshot injuries. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
