On the evening of September 20, 2024, tragedy struck in a parking lot in Oklahoma City, forever altering the lives of a young family. DaShawn Davis, a 20-year-old Black male, was fatally shot in an event that has left his community searching for answers. Just eight days after celebrating his 20th birthday, Davis was found by police officers who were responding to reports of gunfire at approximately 8:25 p.m. in the parking lot located at 3340 N.
