In the small town of Inola, Oklahoma, a young woman's life was tragically cut short in April of 2023. Eliza Mae Arthurs, a 22-year-old female, died from a gunshot wound, leaving behind a grieving family and a young son.
The events leading to her death unfolded when authorities received a 911 call from her boyfriend, Jericho Haverstick. Initially, Haverstick’s account of what happened shifted, but he eventually admitted to shooting Arthurs.
Following his confession, Haverstick was taken into custody.
Eliza passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, after being in critical condition. Remembered for a smile that could illuminate a room and a contagious laugh, she was described as a kind and caring person who enjoyed traveling and experiencing new places. Her family, including her parents, four sisters, and a brother, were left to cherish the memories of a life ended too soon. Her deepest love was for her son, who is now her lasting legacy.
