In September of 2023, Lynda Watts, a 72-year-old White female, died in her Oklahoma City home from what was initially determined to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The events leading to her death, however, would soon come under scrutiny, painting a grim picture of her final moments. Her daughter and primary caregiver, 44-year-old Jaydee Watts, was subsequently arrested in connection with her mother's death. Lynda, who suffered from dementia, was in the care of her daughter at the time.
