In the quiet outskirts of Spiro, Oklahoma, a domestic dispute escalated into a tragedy that claimed the life of 45-year-old Lisa Casey. On the night of April 14, 2018, at a residence located three miles west of town just off State Highway 9, Lisa was shot and killed. When medical personnel arrived at the scene, she was pronounced dead.
The LeFlore County Sheriff's Office, in conjunction with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, immediately launched an investigation into the
shooting. Their inquiry pointed to Lisa's husband, 39-year-old Lawrence Stanley Casey, as the alleged shooter. In addition to the fatal shooting of his wife, Lawrence was also accused of threatening another man at the residence by pointing a handgun at him.
Following the incident, Lawrence Stanley Casey was taken into custody by the LeFlore County Sheriff's Office. He was subsequently transported to the LeFlore County Detention Center. There, he was booked on serious charges, including 1st Degree Murder for the death of his wife, Lisa Casey, and Assault with a Deadly Weapon for the alleged threat against the other individual present at the scene.
