In the evening hours of Saturday, October 14, 2023, a violent encounter in an Oklahoma City backyard left two men fatally wounded. One of the victims was Charles Ingram, a 48-year-old Black male. The tranquility of the neighborhood at 1917 NW 36th Street was shattered by the sound of gunshots, prompting calls to the Oklahoma City Police Department.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered a grim scene in the backyard of the residence.
Charles Ingram and another man, identified as 40-year-old Andre Neal, were found suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel pronounced Ingram dead at the scene. Neal was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment but ultimately succumbed to his injuries, turning the investigation into a double homicide.
