In the early morning hours of May 22, 2024, the sound of gunfire shattered the peace at the Will Rogers Courts apartment complex in Oklahoma City, leaving a family devastated and a community on edge. Anthony Hines, a 38-year-old Black male, was found deceased just outside an apartment at 1450 Westwood Boulevard, the victim of a fatal shooting. Another individual was also wounded in the incident but survived after receiving medical treatment.
