On October 3, 2023, Seok Chul "Charlie" Park, a 60-year-old convenience store owner in Tacoma, Washington, was fatally shot during a robbery at his business, The Little Store, located at the corner of South 35th Street and South Ainsworth Avenue. The incident occurred just after 1 p.m. when a suspect entered the store and attempted to rob it.
