On the evening of Friday, February 16, 2024, a devastating act of violence cut short the lives of two young brothers in Sunnyside, Washington. Maurice Xavier Hernandez, a 17-year-old Hispanic/Latino male, and his 13-year-old brother, Isaak Hernandez, were fatally shot while waiting in a vehicle. The incident occurred at approximately 10:40 p.m. in the 1500 block of East Edison Avenue.
