On May 24, 2024, Jordan Christopher Brock Sims, a 24-year-old resident of Yakima, Washington, was fatally shot during an altercation at a home on Pleasant Avenue. The incident occurred around 6:14 PM when police received reports of gunfire. Witnesses indicated that an argument between Jordan and his cousin, 17-year-old Diego Ramirez, escalated, leading to Ramirez allegedly shooting Jordan twice with a handgun.
