In the early morning hours of September 1, 2024, the life of 51-year-old Hispanic male, Christopher James Guerrero, was tragically cut short in Everett, Washington. Around 2 a.m., witnesses reported hearing a single gunshot ring out in the 8700 block of 5th Avenue W. When Everett police officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Guerrero's body in the parking lot of an apartment complex.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner's Office would later confirm that he died from a gunshot wound, officially ruling his death a homicide.
For the past twelve years, Guerrero had made his home in Everett, having previously lived in Florida and Michigan. He was a dedicated employee at Boeing for a decade, working as a computer drafting engineer. Outside of his professional life, he was an enthusiast of video games and car shows, and was a member of Modern Mopar's of Snohomish County. He was a father to two daughters and a grandfather to three grandchildren. His family, including his father and four brothers, were left to mourn his sudden and violent passing.
As of mid-September 2024, the investigation into Christopher Guerrero's murder remained ongoing, with few leads publicly available. Detectives with the Everett Police Department had not identified any suspects and had not made any arrests in connection with the shooting. The circumstances leading up to the fatal incident remained unclear. Authorities have encouraged anyone with information regarding the shooting to come forward as they continue to seek answers and justice for Guerrero and his family.
