On February 12, 2023, at approximately 5:54 a.m., Columbus police responded to a report of a shooting in the 5000 block of Red Bird Court, located in an apartment complex off Noe-Bixby Road just north of East Livingston Avenue on the East Side of Columbus, Ohio. Upon arrival, officers found 30-year-old Nathaniel Spears lying unresponsive in a grassy area in front of the location.
