Death by Force

On September 3, 2023, at approximately 1:40 a.m., Columbus Police Officers responded to a shooting in the 6000 block of Channingway Boulevard. Upon arrival, they discovered 31-year-old Shawn Grooms suffering from a gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene by medics at 1:50 a.m. Another individual was also injured in the incident and transported to a hospital in stable condition.
