Cameron Moore, 17, a Black male, was caught in the chaos of a late-night Fourth of July “pop-up” party inside a short-term rental on the 800 block of Wilson Avenue in Columbus, Ohio. Sometime around 2:40 a.m. on July 4, 2025, gunfire split the summer air as more than a hundred mostly teenage guests scattered, vaulting fences and darting for cars while neighbors called 911.
