Brent Delaine Carr, a 36-year-old Black male from Columbus, Ohio, was fatally shot on April 15, 2018. He was found lying on the sidewalk near the street in the 900 block of Rarig Avenue, suffering from gunshot wounds. Carr was transported to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 10:13 p.m. Witnesses reported hearing several gunshots around 9:38 p.m., shortly after Carr had left a carryout store and started walking home alone.
