On October 10, 2023, 42-year-old Jason F. Antrican of Mansfield, Ohio, was fatally shot inside an apartment building in the 800 block of Brookfield Drive. Responding to multiple reports of gunfire around 8:20 p.m., Mansfield police officers discovered Antrican and another individual suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital, where Antrican was pronounced dead. The second victim survived the injuries.
