Summary based on 4 sources
Angel Issac was a nine-year-old White girl from Lorain, Ohio. She was a student at Horizon Science Academy, a local charter school.

On the morning of Sunday, November 19, 2023, Lorain police responded to a neighbor’s complaint about loose dogs at a home on East 9th Street. When officers entered the residence around 10 a.m., they made a tragic discovery. Inside, they found the bodies of Angel, her 24-year-old mother Skylar Young, her four-month-old half-brother Bandin Young, and her 29-year-old stepfather, Tyler Young.

The preliminary investigation by the Lorain Police Department indicated the deaths were the result of a murder-suicide. Authorities believe that sometime after 1 a.m., Tyler Young shot and killed his wife, his infant son, and his stepdaughter. A 9mm handgun found next to Tyler’s remains was identified as the weapon used in all the shootings. Investigators determined that after killing his family, Tyler Young turned the weapon on himself.

Police noted that Tyler Young had been arrested in May of that year on charges of domestic violence and strangulation in an incident involving Skylar. However, a Lorain County grand jury declined to return an indictment after Skylar recanted some of her testimony. Investigators also learned from a family member that Tyler had experienced a “schizophrenic episode” earlier in 2023, and they were looking into his mental health history. He did not leave a note.

The case is considered resolved. As of November 2023, authorities have concluded their investigation, identifying Tyler Young as the perpetrator who died by suicide at the scene.
