On January 29, 2024, at approximately 10:30 p.m., 41-year-old Larry Edwards arrived at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, with a gunshot wound. He informed authorities that he had been shot while driving in the 400 block of Parsons Avenue, near Livingston Park. Despite medical efforts, Edwards was pronounced dead at 11:01 p.m.
The Columbus Division of Police initiated an investigation into the incident. On April 24, 2024, murder charges were filed against 17-year-old Marvin T. Holt, identified as the individual responsible for Edwards's death. Holt was subsequently arrested and is currently held at the Franklin County Juvenile Detention Center.
As of now, the motive behind the shooting remains unknown. The Columbus Police continue to seek information from the public to aid in their ongoing investigation.
