On March 20, 2024, at approximately 9 p.m., officers responded to a report of a male shot near East 174th Street and Tarkington Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio. Upon arrival, they found 63-year-old Brenton James Belcher unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Brenton, affectionately known as "Brick City" or "Red," was born on July 27, 1960. He was a resident of Maple Heights, Ohio. A public viewing was held on April 13, 2024, at Gaines Funeral Home in Maple Heights.
