On April 14, 2024, 15-year-old Kendra Mae Farler was fatally shot in a residence on Bowen Street in Dayton, Ohio. Initially, her father, 38-year-old Kenneth Paul Farler III, and her stepmother reported that Kendra had been accidentally shot by her 15-year-old autistic, nonverbal sibling.
