Ivan Alberto Covarrubias, a 39-year-old Latino, was tragically shot and killed on February 9, 2016, in Bell Gardens, California. The incident occurred in the 6300 block of Specht Avenue, where Covarrubias was found lying on the sidewalk around 12:05 a.m. with a gunshot wound to his back.
