On December 24, 2012, 27-year-old Lafrances Golden was found dead in her apartment at 221 Ryburn Avenue in Dayton, Ohio. The discovery was made by members of a management company who were inspecting the unit, which they believed was vacant. Golden’s body was found on the floor around 10:30 a.m., and authorities were called immediately. A shell casing was found on a couch near her body, though it was unclear whether she had been shot.
