Death by Force

On February 19, 2023, 29-year-old Mackenzie N. Battle was found deceased in her home on Eckley Boulevard in Miami Township, Ohio. Responding to a 911 call reporting a woman shot, officers arrived at approximately 5:13 a.m. and discovered Battle's body. The Montgomery County Coroner's Office pronounced her dead around 6:08 a.m. An initial examination indicated a possible gunshot wound to the hip, but the official cause and manner of death remained undetermined pending further investigation.
