On May 13, 2024, at approximately 9:45 p.m., Columbus police officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 2700 block of Brentnell Avenue, just south of Agler Road, in northeast Columbus. Upon arrival, they found 18-year-old Antonio M. Jones Jr. suffering from a gunshot wound. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene at 9:51 p.m. A second victim, an unidentified juvenile, self-transported to a local hospital with unspecified injuries and was later treated and released.
