Jaycobe Mynatt, a 21-year-old resident of Brook Park, tragically lost his life on July 7, 2024, in a shooting incident that occurred in the parking lot of Steelyard Commons in Cleveland, Ohio. The circumstances surrounding his death involved a verbal altercation that escalated into deadly violence during a car meet-up event at the location.
The Cleveland Division of Police launched an investigation into the shooting, which led to the identification of a suspect, Ja'Moneae Bowen, also
21 years old. Bowen was wanted in connection with Mynatt's death, and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On October 3, 2024, members of the U.S. Marshals-led Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) successfully apprehended Bowen at an address in the 7100 block of Garden Valley Avenue in Cleveland. The arrest came as part of a series of operations conducted by the task force on the same day, which also resulted in the capture of two other suspects wanted for separate violent crimes.
