Roger Joseph Ashley Jr., a 38-year-old African American man from Cleveland, Ohio, tragically lost his life on November 19, 2018. He was shot near Shaw High School in Cleveland, and the incident was quickly classified as a homicide by the police. Ashley and his brother had stopped at a gas station to get some food after visiting family when the shooting occurred. The alleged shooter, who was already in the store, approached Ashley and told him to "get the fuck out of the way" before opening fire.
