On March 24, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in Hobbs, New Mexico, resulting in the death of 34-year-old Anthony Quiroz. Hobbs Police Department responded to a call in the 800 block of South Thorp regarding a man who had been shot. Upon arrival, officers found Quiroz hunched over a fence. Although he was able to communicate with the officers, he couldn't identify where on his body he had been shot.
