On March 24, 2023, the life of 34-year-old Hispanic male, Anthony Quiroz, was tragically cut short in Hobbs, New Mexico. That day, the Hobbs Police Department received a distressing call about a man who had been shot in the 800 block of South Thorp. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Quiroz leaning against a fence. He was conscious and able to speak with the officers but was unable to tell them where on his body he had been wounded.
