On October 19, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in Hobbs, New Mexico, resulting in the death of 17-year-old Ja'Brian O'Keith Lowe. The Lea County Sheriff's Office reported that a deputy pulled over a vehicle that had swerved into oncoming traffic. Inside the vehicle, they found Lowe suffering from a gunshot wound, along with a 16-year-old passenger.
