On May 28, 2023, Jiovanny Morales, a 25-year-old resident of Hobbs, New Mexico, tragically lost his life in a shooting incident. The Hobbs Police Department responded to reports of shots fired at the intersection of Broadway and Grimes Streets at approximately 10:34 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found Morales suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
