In the pre-dawn hours of January 9, 2023, the life of 39-year-old Jose Antonio Soto, a Hispanic male, was violently cut short on the streets of Las Vegas. At approximately 2:47 a.m., officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched to the 1800 block of Franklin Avenue, near Charleston Boulevard and Eastern Avenue, following reports of a shooting.
